There’s no denying that Mø has been one of the breakthrough vocalists and songwriters of the past few years. The voice of the most streamed track ever on Major Lazer’s massive worldwide smash hit Lean On showcased her impressive repertoire from debut album No Mythologies and also the huge songs she’s been part of and much more.
The Danish artist’s vocals are extraordinary- Mø has a truly unique tone and quality that I personally adore and her ethereal and piercing voice lends itself flawlessly to the sleek, cool electropop music that she creates.
Mø had the sold out crown in the palm of her had with every note and word and move and all eyes were on her as she stalked the space between her three piece band with her loose limbed and non stop choreography.
With a new album on the horizon, it was impressive to see and hear Mø’s music played live. I’ve followed her and listened to her music for some time now and was thoroughly impressed at how well the somewhat cool and clinical electropop translated into a live situation.
Closing the gig on the summer hit Final Song would have been to obvious a choice, instead going for her signature anthem, Lean On, where she was elevated by the crowd, doing some fairly impressive yoga style moves!
I’m looking forward to hearing more from Mø in the future!
